What is cryotherapy?

Skin imperfections. Perfected!

Cryotherapy is an advanced treatment that uses a controlled jet of nitrous oxide gas to target specific skin concerns safely and precisely.

Using professional CryoIQ Cryotherapy devices, practitioners can treat a variety of common skin imperfections while protecting the surrounding healthy skin.

Cryotherapy is valued for its precision, speed and minimal downtime, making it a popular addition to modern aesthetic and beauty businesses.

What will you learn?

Learn to Remove 6 Lesions

During this comprehensive Cryotherapy course, you will learn how to safely treat a range of common benign skin lesions using the included CryoIQ Cryotherapy device.

Training covers the treatment of skin tags, pigmentation, cherry angiomas, verrucae, warts and milia. Many insurance providers will also insure advanced therapists to remove benign moles and other benign lesions, subject to their individual policy terms and requirements.

The course combines theory with practical training, giving you a clear understanding of how Cryotherapy works, the principles of controlled freezing using nitrous oxide and the safe operation of the CryoIQ device.

You will also learn how to carry out professional client consultations, assess treatment suitability, identify contraindications and manage client expectations.

During the practical session, you will develop confidence in device handling, treatment techniques, safe application methods and client aftercare, ensuring you can perform Cryotherapy treatments safely and professionally.

Fast Treatment Times
Most Cryotherapy treatments take just 5–30 seconds, allowing practitioners to treat clients quickly and efficiently while maximising appointment availability.
3
Minimal Downtime
Cryotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment with little downtime or aftercare, making it an attractive option for clients looking for effective results that fit around their busy lifestyles.
4
High Client Demand
As more clients seek private solutions for cosmetic lesion removal, Cryotherapy provides clinics with an opportunity to offer a valuable and sought-after treatment.
5
Easy to Upsell
Thanks to its short treatment times, Cryotherapy can be easily incorporated into existing appointments, allowing clinics to increase treatment value by offering lesion removal alongside other aesthetic or skincare services.

Frequently Asked Cryotherapy Questions

Treatment Information

Treatment pricing is entirely at the discretion of each clinic and will typically depend on the size, type and number of lesions being treated. During your training, we’ll provide business guidance and discuss pricing strategies to help you confidently introduce Cryotherapy into your clinic.

This depends on the type, size and nature of the lesion being treated. In some cases, a second treatment may be required to achieve the desired result.

Aftercare requirements will vary depending on the treatment performed. During your training, you will learn the correct aftercare advice and guidance to provide clients following their Cryotherapy treatment.

Yes. When performed by a trained practitioner, Cryotherapy is considered a safe and effective treatment for suitable benign skin lesions. The CryoIQ Cryotherapy device delivers a precise jet of nitrous oxide, allowing targeted treatment while minimising impact on the surrounding healthy tissue. The CryoIQ device is both CE marked and FDA registered.

Most clients experience a brief stinging or cold sensation during treatment as the nitrous oxide freezes the targeted tissue. Any discomfort is usually short-lived and well tolerated, with most treatments completed in just a few seconds.

As with any Cryotherapy treatment, temporary side effects can occur as part of the normal healing process. The treated area may become red, swell slightly or develop a darker appearance before naturally healing over the following weeks. During your training, you will learn how to advise clients on expected healing stages, aftercare and when to seek further advice if required.
